IJA-Canada Membership
Membership is open to anyone who accepts the objectives of the IJA-Canada.
You can join the IJA-Canada via post or email.
Simply send the information contained on the membership application, with the appropriate membership fees.

IJA-Canada Membership:

$12.00 for a Single Adult Membership
|
|
|
$20.00 for a Family Membership
|
|
|
$30.00 for a Troupe Membership, plus $2.00 for the first Troupe Member
plus $2.00 for each Troupe Member
(Don't forget to adjust the member quantity in the PayPal cart.)

Printed Handbooks (IJA and IJA-Canada)
|
|
|
|
All Memberships:
- Memberships will not run on a calendar basis, but will run 12 months from the date you sign up.
- Handbooks will be sent electronically in "pdf" format.
Printed copies will be sent for a nominal postage fee.
Single Adult Membership:
- Adult membership includes an IJA-Canada membership card, voting privileges at any IJA-Canada members' meeting, and electronic "pdf" copies of both the IJA Member's Handbook and the IJA-Canada Member's Handbook.
- Members may request that bio's be posted on the IJA-Canada website.
Family Membership:
- Family membership provides two (2) voting memberships, electronic publications noted above, and membership cards (unlimited membership cards for children/youths) sent to one primary mailing address.
- Families may request that bio's be posted on the IJA-Canada website.
- One page will be provided, with all family bio's posted together.
- Include one membership application form for each family member, with relevant bio information.
Troupe Membership:
- Troupe membership provides one voting membership for each adult member, electronic publications noted above, and membership cards for all Troupe members, sent to one primary mailing address.
- The troupe must have a primary contact and contact information, but individual troupe members may have individual contact information included with their on-line bio's, if they wish.
- Troupes may request that bio's be posted on the IJA-Canada website.
- One page will be provided, with all troupe member bio's posted together.
- Troupe members may be added throughout the year for the incidental cost of $2.00 each.
- Include one membership application form for each troupe member, with relevant bio information.
Payment may be made via cheque, money order or PayPal:

- For cheques or money orders, please make payment to "International Jousting Association - Canada".

- Please send a picture (head and shoulders) for inclusion on your membership card.
- You may also include information for a biography on the www.joust-canada.ca website, if you wish.
- This can include picures of you and/or your horse(s).
- Any hard copies of pictures submitted will be scanned and returned to you with your membership card.
Equine Canada
The IJA-Canada highly recommends membership in Equine Canada, the governing body for equestrian sport in Canada, through your provincial governing body.

Membership in your provincial horse sport body provides a number of member benefits to you.
One of the benefits usually included is liability insurance, in cases where your horse causes property or personal damage.
Membership also supports all equestrian activity in Canada, and is the yardstick the government uses to measure interest in equestrian sport in this country.
As an equestrian community, the more members we have, the more influential we are.
As a jousting community, with enough numbers we could some day get "official" recognition of our sport.
