Wild Hunt II

The IJA-Canada is organizing it second public event, to take place in conjunction with the Severn Bridge Fall Fair
in Severn Bridge, Ontario, on Saturday 08 September 2007.

The event will run in a similar vein to last year's 2006 tournament.
The files at the bottom of this page contain most of the details regarding the logistics of the weekend.

Public Events (Saturday):
Morning: A skill-at-arms competition. The course has not yet been settled, but will contain similar games to last year: some sword work (at rings or target), some spear work (thrown, placed or rings), and a quintain.
Noon: A crest melee, likely starting with a team format (despite what the current rules say). Wooden wasters will be used, so armour is a requirement.
Afternoon: Joust. Hardwood lances (five feet in front of the hand) with three feet of split balsa.

Private Events (Sunday): A mounted falconry hunt, and some food and merriment for all.

Event staff/competitor camping is at the Van Der Ley property, near last year's camping.
Boarding will be at the same stable as last year.
Directions will be sent to all concerned before the event.

As the regular registrar (Jordan Heron) is in Sweden for the next two weeks,
please register as soon as possible, with Dale Gienow.
